A dream come true for Lyndon

COLERAINE defender Lyndon Kane spoke of his immense pride after being selected as captain yesterday afternoon…

The 22-year-old, who is a boyhood Coleraine fan, wore the captain’s armband for the first time in his career in the win against Carrick Rangers.

Kane admitted it was a ‘dream come true’ to be skipper and believes he has finally managed to get the better of the metatarsal injury that has plagued him for the last two years.

The full-back missed a glorious chance to make it an even better day but heaped praise on his team-mates for securing all three points.
