The summer arrival netted the opening two goals in north Belfast before Matthew Shevlin and Declan McManus got in on the act to bank all three points.

Cooper said it was “pleasing” to win at a difficult venue and then opened up on his two goals in particular.

The Ballyclare native also commented on the mindset heading into the second 45 minutes after holding a comfortable at the break, as well as admitting he would have loved to have bagged a hat-trick.
