‘A massive output’ – OK

COLERAINE boss Oran Kearney admits he might have ‘a few more grey hairs’ after yesterday’s pulsating win against Dungannon Swifts…

After four goals, a red card and a disputed penalty, the three points were secured with less than 15 minutes remaining as Ben Doherty rifled home an unstoppable effort into the top corner.

Kearney insists he knew it was going to be a tough afternoon at Stangmore Park before a ball was kicked due to the announcement of Dean Shiels as their new manager.

The boss acknowledged the quality of the move which led to Doherty’s winner and added that it was a goal fitting to win any game, as well as the importance of Stephen Lowry’s goal line clearance.

Kearney’s brother-in-law, Dean Shiels, will now formally take charge at the Swifts and Oran pointed out that there is a good relationship between the two and he will always be on hand for some advice.

Crusaders are next up on Friday night and Kearney is hopeful of securing another big win at The Showgrounds.
