COLERAINE TV sat down with new owners Ranald McGregor-Smith and Patrick Mitchell after their takeover of the club was completed…

Mr McGregor-Smith revealed that he was asked to invest in another Irish League club but that he wanted to give back to his hometown club after growing up on the Portstewart Road.

Mr Mitchell highlighted the key role of the volunteers currently at The Showgrounds, as well as the selfless work conducted by the Board of Directors.

The duo explained that they are here for the “long-term” and they want to build a full professional model.

Mr Mitchell also looks ahead to the club’s centenary in 2027 and that the Bannsiders are catching “a rising tide”.

The pair also outlined they are open to suggestions to help move the club forward and that new people will be involved to bring fresh ideas.

Mr Mitchell and Mr McGregor-Smith both shared how impressed they are by current first-team boss Oran Kearney and how they want to give the best tools moving forward.
