Kearney heaped praise on the club for how they have stood by the players during the coronavirus pandemic and the victory against the Sammarinese opposition was ‘a thank you’ for all the hard work behind the scenes.

The boss labelled McLaughlin’s winner ‘as a thing of beauty’ and admitted he put himself under immense pressure to triumph in the Preliminary Round of the competition.

The Bannsiders will face NK Maribor next Thursday night and Kearney hopes it will be an experience the club will enjoy.
