The Scotsman leaves after a year at The Showgrounds

Allan departs Bannsiders

COLERAINE FC can confirm that Jordan Allan will be leaving Coleraine following the expiry of his contract…

The Scottish striker joined the Bannsiders on an initial loan deal until January, but his good form earned the former Derry City man a contract until the end of the season.

Allan will be remembered for winning goal at Windsor Park in January 2017, as well as his two strikes to earn Coleraine a point against derby rivals Ballymena United at The Showgrounds.

Allan makes his debut against Ballinamallard United in September 2016.

In total, Allan made 39 appearances for the Bannsiders (18 starts) and scored 9 goals. The number 23 has been active on social media about his departure and admits the current squad ‘have a massive future’ in the game.

“What a season – a cup final and finishing third in the league.

“I can’t thank Oran enough for giving me the opportunity to play and enjoy myself again when I didn’t think I had one.

“To all the backroom staff at Coleraine, a massive thank you for your help all season.

“Lastly to the players, a great group of boys who have a massive future ahead of them – even Steven Douglas!

“I wish everyone involved at Coleraine FC all the best for next season and a massive good luck for your European tour.”

Allan celebrates after netting a late winner at Windsor Park. It was Coleraine’s first win at the venue in seven years.

Coleraine manager Oran Kearney thanked the 22-year-old for his contribution at the club and admitted he was ‘a pleasure to work with.’

“Jordan is a top lad and an absolute pleasure to work with.

“I would like to thank him for his services in a Coleraine shirt and wish him all the best in future”.
