Allen makes permanent switch

COLERAINE FC is delighted to announce that Curtis Allen has made a permanent move to The Showgrounds…

The striker – who joined the Bannsiders on a six month loan deal in January – has put pen-to-paper on a permanent two-year switch.

Across two spells, the ex-Lisburn Distillery, Linfield, Glentoran and Inverness Caledonian Thistle marksman has made 93 appearances for the club, scoring 44 goals in the process.

Allen was a used substitute in the BetMcLean League Cup final success against Crusaders back in February.

Bannsiders boss Oran Kearney spoke of his delight at the news and insists Allen has returned to training with a ‘hunger’ to kick on.

“Obviously Curtis has already been here for six months but we are delighted that he has agreed a permanent switch,” he said.

“He is a proven goalscorer, he is in good shape and is hungry to kick on and make an impact.

“The lockdown was probably a frustrating time for him as he didn’t get to feature in the Irish Cup, but he is now a Coleraine player and will be available for Europe.

“I have always had a good relationship with Curtis and I’m looking forward to continuing working with him.”
