Bannsiders carried on momentum

COLERAINE boss Oran Kearney believes his side kicked-on from where they left off as they reached the semi-final of the BetMcLean Cup…

Fresh after their 4-0 success against Portadown, the Stripes continued that momentum by securing a 3-0 win against Dungannon Swifts at The Showgrounds.

Whilst being pleased at the manner of his side’s two goals, Kearney remarked that he would have liked his troops to secure a third goal a little bit earlier to ease some pressure.

Kearney commented on Michael McCrudden’s performance as the striker returned from injury to bag the opening goal, as well as highlighting the importance of his side securing back-to-back clean sheets.

The Stripes face Cliftonville in the semi-final of the competition next month, with Kearney also looking ahead to this weekend’s visit to Carrick Rangers.
