DEAN Shiels said his Coleraine side were left “deflated” after Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Larne at Inver Park…

The Bannsiders had taken the lead with 15 minutes to go as Matthew Shevlin fired into an empty net but that advantage was quickly wiped out as Andy Ryan netted an equaliser for the hosts soon after.

Shiels felt his side deserved to win the contest but that they can’t dwell on the outcome ahead of two big home games this week.

The head coach once again commented on the impact of his substitutes as Shevlin came off the bench to bag a goal – a similar feat to Declan McManus at Glenavon last week.

Shiels also thanked the supporters for their strong vocal backing throughout the 90 minutes in east Antrim.
