Bannsiders Fined

COLERAINE FC is once again disappointed that complaints of supporter misconduct means the club has been fined by the Irish Football Association…

The Club has been fined £500 for breaching Article 32.2 of the IFA Disciplinary Code after loud bangs (from a firework type banger) were noted on four occasions during our Sports Direct Premiership game against Ballymena United last month.

Coleraine FC stresses the importance that supporter misconduct must be stopped – including sectarian and racist chanting – as the club runs the risk of even costlier punishments being imposed.

The Club is indebted to our fantastic support base – both home and away – however, it is disappointing that the actions of a small minority of fans means the club have to pay unwelcome fines.

Oran Kearney and his players appreciate the support of our 12th man, but it is important that your backing doesn’t break any laws or breaches of the Irish FA Disciplinary Code.
