DEAN Jarvis has warned that the performance levels have to be on the money if they are to pick up a positive result against in-form Dungannon Swifts tomorrow afternoon…

The Bannsiders lock horns with Rodney McAree’s side as Coleraine return to The Showgrounds after four successive matches on the road.

Dungannon have been in a rich vein of form as late, winning their last four Premiership games which included last weekend’s 3-1 success at home to Glentoran.

With that in mind, Jarvis acknowledged the task in hand and how he is enjoying his football under Ruaidhri Higgins’ management.

“They are a good team,” he added.

“They’ve went on a wee bit of a winning streak.

“They didn’t start the season too well but they got a few players back and they’ve put a run together.

“It’s going to be a tough game and one we’ll have to be right at to get the three points.

“I’m obviously 33 now and I’m just trying to play every match that I can and enjoying every training session.

“Obviously, you don’t know when it’s going to be your last or whatever.

“The boys, the staff and Ruaidhri and that have been a breath of fresh air since they came in and all the boys are flying at the minute.”

Like every good defender – Jarvis is hoping to help get the Stripes back to registering clean sheets.

“Obviously as a defender, it’s our bread and butter not conceding and trying to keep clean sheets,” he continued.

“With the attacking players we have on the team, we’re always going to create chances and score.

“So, it’s important after giving away a couple of leaky goals over the last couple of weeks that we try to build on that and get back to basics.”
