Bannsiders to face Spartak Subotica

COLERAINE have been drawn to face FK Spartak Subotica in the first round of Europa League qualifying…

The draw was made in Nyon, Switzerland this morning and the Stripes are scheduled to face their Serbian opponents on July 12 and July 19. The Club can confirm that the away leg will be played at the Karadorde Stadium in Novi Sad on July 12, before hosting Spartak Subotica a week later.

Spartak Subotica reached the Europa League qualifiers after a fourth-placed finish in the Serbian SuperLiga. They play their home games at the Subotica City Stadium which has a capacity of 13,000. It will be their second venture into European football after appearing in the 2010-11 Europa League qualifiers. Former players include ex-Man United centre-half, Nemanja Vidic who spent a season on loan with the Falcons.

The draw for the second qualifying round was also made and if Coleraine can progress they will book a date with Czech side Sparta Prague.
