The Bannsiders trailed by a solitary goal at the break but recovered to take the game into extra-time as James McLaughlin converted from the spot before an own goal and Aaron Jarvis’ effort sealed a 3-1 win.

Smith remarked the improvement of his side after the half-time break and felt there was only going to be one winner after McLaughlin’s equaliser, as well as the experience gained by several U20 players who featured in senior competition.

Coleraine will face Ballinamallard United in the final but Smith knows there’s plenty of football still to be played before that, as well as speaking about the signing of Ciaran O’Hara who has been called-up to the Northern Ireland U19 squad.
