Benny the Bannsider drops in on training

COLERAINE FC’s latest signing, Benny the Bannsider has continued his mission to get to know the fans by visiting training at the club’s youths set-up…

The academy caters for over 200 young players who all proudly wear their Coleraine colours and Benny has good news for them.

All the players and their families are invited to join Benny at The Showgrounds this Saturday for a “Big Day Out”.

Benny has organised the coaches from the Youths, led by former Coleraine FC manager, David Platt to provide a fun skills and coaching area, there will be a penalty shoot-out with Benny in goal and a play area to burn off some energy. For mum and dad, there will be live music and places to grab some lunch.

Benny has also included a Family Ticket to watch his home debut as the Bannsiders take on Glenavon in the Danske Bank Premiership from 3pm.

Junior Academy Director at Coleraine FC Youths, David Platt, welcomed Benny to training and commented, “These young players are the stars and the fans of the future for the club and to see Benny come along and meet them all was fantastic.

“Benny’s Big Day Out will be great fun for the kids and all the family and we look forward to seeing them all at The Showgrounds.”
