EXECUTIVE Chairman, Henry Ross, marked Stress Awareness Month in April with a recent visit to The Hummingbird Project in Portstewart…
Many Bannsiders will remember the impact of Hummingbird’s mental health programme “FreeKick” at The Showgrounds and, of course, those 1000 “Hues of Blues” flags now adorning walls or neatly folded in drawers across the community.
Speaking after the visit, Henry said: “Stress is something we all face, especially when life throws us unexpected challenges. That’s why looking after our mental wellbeing through community initiatives like “FreeKick” is just as important as physical fitness.
“This Saturday’s match against Linfield will be an exciting occasion. It’s a chance not just to support the team, but to connect with others, get outside and enjoy the sense of togetherness that makes our club so special.
“Let’s bring colour, energy and noise to The Showgrounds – wave your flags, wear your blue and white, and be a part of something exciting.”
Hummingbird CEO, Leigh Carey, who welcomed Henry’s first visit to the office added: “It was great to have Henry come to our offices to support our ongoing work in the community and acknowledge the impact of our Hues of Blues partnership back in 2023.
“We wish Henry every success as the new Executive Chairman of Coleraine FC and come on the Bannsiders!”
HERE, HERE, THE BLUES ARE HERE! Remember that old chant anyone…..?
