Ladies

Busy Week

IT’S a busy week ahead for Coleraine Ladies as they are in action twice…

First up is a trip to the Vale Centre to face Foyle this evening.

Then on Friday, it’s another away day… to play Portadown at the People’s Park.

“Portadown and ourselves are fighting it out for fourth place,” said player manager Alison Nicholl.

“We jumped above Armagh in the table after beating them last week so all the points are vital.”

The Bannsiders boss was delighted with last week’s 2-1 win against Armagh.

“They are a physical team. Much stronger and older than our girl’s.

“But despite missing several players we performed well and deserved the win.”

Abby Alexander bagged both goals and Nicholl is hoping she can continue her goalscoring streak ahead of a busy week.

“We face two tough games before finishing up at home to Crewe.

“I was pleased with the way we kept the ball and tried to play from back to front.

“We have two big games in front of us so hopefully we can perform and pick up the points.”
