Carson ‘delighted’ with goal contribution
JOSH Carson labelled the Bannsiders’ performance as ‘solid’ as they registered all three points against Ballymena United last night…
The Stripes would close the gap on the teams above them in the Premiership after the 3-1 win against their derby rivals.
Carson remarked that the squad gave Ballymena more chances to score than expected but they were simply delighted to be back playing after ten days off.
The midfielder also commented on his goal as his front post run was rewarded with a close range finish from Jamie Glackin’s cross.
Ahead of the BetMcLean Cup final on Sunday, Carson added that the fans can play a massive role on the day and that they are eager to bring the trophy back to The Showgrounds.
