Bannsiders back in action against Derry City

Coleraine prepare to face Derry City

Coleraine continue their pre-season preparations this Saturday (24th June) in a friendly fixture with North West rivals Derry City. Kick-off is scheduled for 2pm at the Coleraine Showgrounds…

Both teams clashed in a friendly at Maginn Park back in February were the Bannsiders narrowly lost 1-0. The Candystripes come to the Showgrounds in 5th position in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division in what has been a mixed season so far. Derry City are now well into their league campaign and Saturday’s game at the Showgrounds will be a great workout for Oran Kearney’s side.

The Bannsiders come off the back of a convincing 3-1 victory against Dafabet Welsh Premiership side, Bangor City. Goals from Eoin Bradley, James McLaughlin and Jamie McGonigle were enough to secure victory for the home side.
The game is the final swansong before the Bannsiders set off on their European adventure to Norway. This friendly fixture will be excellent preparation before Thursday’s Europa League qualifier with FK Haugesund.

Admission has been set for £5.

As ever, those unable to attend the game can follow the latest developments via the club’s official Twitter account (@ColeraineFC).
