Coleraine sign Graham Crown

COLERAINE FC is happy to announce the signing of defender Graham Crown on a two-year deal…

The central defender joins from Limavady United and has previous Irish League experience after a spell with Institute. The 26-year-old arrives at the club after an impressive season with the Roesiders after collecting the Players’ Player of the Year award, as well as the Supporters Player of the Year.

Crown has been allocated the number 12 shirt for next season which means there are a couple of changes to first-team numbers. Brad Lyons will wear the number 6 shirt recently made vacant by the departure of David Ogilby, whilst Aaron Burns will take his customary number 14 jersey.

“He is a player we have been tracking for a long time,” Kearney said.

“He nearly joined a few years ago but we were top heavy with centre-halves and I feel this is the correct time to give him a fair crack at it.

“He is a good age and has similar characteristics as Stephen O’Donnell in terms of mentality and hunger. Graham is in great shape and has the right attitude.

“For that he ticks all the boxes and he will certainly provide competition for a starting place.”
