COLERAINE FC is pleased to announce that Connor Murray’s loan deal has been extended until the summer…

The midfielder, who originally joined the club from Hamilton Academical on loan until January, will now spend the entirety of the 2024/25 campaign at The Showgrounds.

The Scottish native has made 21 appearances in all competitions since arriving on the north coast, which includes scoring a spectacular effort against Carrick Rangers in September.

Head coach Dean Shiels said he was delighted to keep the services of the 27-year-old, who has also represented Queen of the South, Gretna 2008 and Partick Thistle during his career.

“Connor is a really good footballer and that’s the best way to describe him,” he said.

“He’s settled into the group really well and he’s got a real hunger to play and help the team.

“He can play in multiple positions, he’s versatile and he’s got quality, as well as providing goals and assists.

“He is well-liked within the group and we’re delighted to extend his loan and he was eager to stay, which was pleasing.”
