Curtis joins Carrick

COLERAINE FC can confirm that Curtis Allen has departed the club to sign for Carrick Rangers…

The striker joined the club for a second spell in January 2020 and made a total of 148 appearances during his two stints at The Showgrounds, scoring 60 times in the process.

Allen was a used substitute in the BetMcLean League Cup final success in February 2020 and appeared in European competition for the Bannsiders in 2020/21 and 21/22.

Speaking about the news, Coleraine boss Oran Kearney said: “Curtis is a top professional, with a great attitude and was well liked in the changing room.

“As he mentioned on social media, he was probably unlucky with injuries and COVID, with things not turning out how we or him would have liked.

“That being said, he was brilliant with the younger players such as Matthew Shevlin and he was constantly passing on his advice which was worth its weight in gold.

“We wish Curtis all the very best and he will always be fondly remembered for both his stints with the club and the goals he scored.”

Everyone at Coleraine FC wishes Curtis all the very best for the future.
