Double Duty for Stripes

COLERAINE will finalise their preparations for the new Danske Bank Premiership season with two pre-season friendlies this weekend…

The first fixture will be at Mullaghacall in Portstewart as the Irish Cup holders come up against Johnny Law’s new club in the annual Wes Gregg Memorial match (KO 7:30pm). Admission prices have been set for £5 adults and £3 concessions/OAPs. The Stripes will compete against a few familiar faces as Glenn Law and Saul McCaughan are currently playing for the Seahawks.

On Saturday, the Bannsiders will welcome Bluefin Sport Championship side Dergview to The Showgrounds (KO 3pm), with admission prices set at £5 adults and £3 concessions/OAPs. The Club Shop will be open for supporters who wish to purchase merchandise and season tickets for the upcoming campaign.

Stripes boss Oran Kearney will have mixed squads for both fixtures as he aims to get his side fully prepared and ready to go for the visit of Warrenpoint Town on August 4.

“Both fixtures will allow us to play different players and get as much minutes into the lads as we possibly can,” Kearney said.

“It’s all about preparing and getting things right for the start of the season.

“I’ve been pleased with how things are going and we are all excited for the challenges ahead.”

As ever, those unable to attend either fixture can stay updated via the club’s official Twitter account (@ColeraineFC).
