“Draw a fair outcome” – OK

COLERAINE boss Oran Kearney believes the draw against Linfield was a fair result…

Both teams would cancel each other out at Windsor Park with Shayne Lavery and Eoin Bradley missing late chances to bag all three points for their respective sides.

Kearney insists he was content with the final outcome as it always a tough test coming to Windsor Park but knew his side had a glorious opportunity to nick a victory as Chris Johns made a superb stop to deny Bradley from close range.

The boss heaped praise on Matthew Shevlin’s performance as he was handed his first league start in over 18 months and acknowledged the shift put in by his entire team to limit Linfield to very few chances.

Kearney takes his troops to Carrick Rangers on Tuesday night and he is fully aware of their recent turnaround in fortunes as they have taken points off Crusaders, Linfield and Glenavon in previous weeks.
