Fans support is massive – Kane

COLERAINE defender Lyndon Kane insists he still has fond memories of winning the BetMcLean League Cup back in 2020…

The full-back lifted the trophy on his 23rd birthday as the Bannsiders came from behind to defeat Crusaders in the showpiece decider two years ago.

Speaking at the official press conference before Sunday’s assignment against Cliftonville, the Coleraine native spoke of his excitement ahead of this year’s contest, the Stripes’ run to the final and his eagerness to add to his medal haul.

With the Reds chasing a domestic treble, Kane acknowledged that he and his team-mates will go in as underdogs but knows a strong support from the stands can play a massive part.
