RUAIDHRI Higgins is urging supporters to soak up the atmosphere in the fanzone, enjoy the build-up and get behind his players ahead of Saturday evening’s clash with Crusaders….

Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s visit of the Hatchetmen, Higgins started by claiming how much he was impressed by Tuesday night’s victory in the North-West Senior Cup but confirmed it came at a cost after injuries to Levi Ives and Dean Jarvis.

Higgins also spoke about the deadline day signings of Adam Brooks and Joe Thomson – making it seven new recruits this summer – and he acknowledged how he and the staff are pleased with the balance of the squad.

Crusaders have won their last three Premiership games, as well as progressing in the County Antrim Shield, and Higgins remarked how Declan Caddell’s troops have made a fantastic start to the new campaign.

With the new fanzone opening at The Showgrounfs for the first time prior to kick-off, Higgins hopes supporters safely enjoy themselves before coming out to back his side.
