COLERAINE’s semi final against Kilmarnock had all the makings of a mouth-watering tie…

The young Bannsiders started with a high press and didn’t give the Scottish giants any time on the ball.

Coleraine opened the scoring early on then added a second soon after and continued to dominate play for the remainder of the half.

At the start of the second half Kilmarnock made six changes to try and get back into the game. Coleraine continued to play well and although Kilmarnock did pull a goal back, the boys held strong and put the tie to bed with a third goal that sees them progress to take on Leeds United in the final game tomorrow.

All 17 players played their part in the game and their performance over the week has earned them a well deserved spot in the Minor Globe final against Leeds United tomorrow at 11am at the Warren in Portstewart.

Good luck to the boys and coaches.
