Carson admits the result “was hard to take” and that the Stripes seemingly had the momentum after Conor McKendry’s equaliser with 20 minutes to go.

The 30-year-old believes fine margins are going against the Bannsiders at present and they are being punished for every little mistake but it’s important that he and his team-mates keep their head down.

Despite back-to-back defeats in the Premiership, Carson has issued a rallying call for supporters to continue their excellent backing ahead of next weekend’s trip to Crusaders.
