Foyle Cup Results: Day Three
COLERAINE Academy showcase their talents as the under 10’s and under 11’s top their group at this year’s Foyle Cup…
Wednesday saw the conclusion of the group stages for the Under 10 and Under 11 sections of the Foyle Cup. Both Academy teams topped their groups unbeaten with the Under 11 team recording 5 victories.
Both Olympic teams also performed admirably with the Under 10’s narrowly missing out on a second place finish in a competitive group. The Under 9 sections completes tomorrow with the Academy team currently competing with a strong Kildrum Tigers team for top position in their group.
John Gregg who is Head of Youth Development at Coleraine FC commented: “The Club have been delighted to support the kids in their participation at the Foyle Cup.
“I personally am delighted to see the progress our kids are making in the competition. This is testament to the hard work and tireless commitment of all our coaches, kids and their parents.
“The recent breakthrough of 5 of our academy kids into the senior team last weekend should give these kids great incentive to continue with their hard work.”

Quigleys Point won 6-1 (Keelan 2, Conor 2, Josh, Kenzie)
Foyle Harps lost 3-1 (Carter)
Ballymoor FC drew 2-2 (Harry, Lewis)
