The Bannsiders would be denied a seventh win in their last eight games as Adam Salley blasted home an equaliser for the Ports, just minutes after Stewart Nixon had given Coleraine the lead.

Kane admits it was “a massive disappointment” to not register all three points and cited the Stripes’ “game management” as the catalyst for not winning the contest.

The full-back has captained the club in recent games due to the absence of Stephen O’Donnell and the Coleraine native insists it is “a privilege” to do so.

After missing a lot of football due to injuries, Kane is relishing the busy schedule of games as Coleraine now turn their attentions to Mourneview Park on Tuesday night.
