Glenavon ‘a different proposition’: Higgins
RUAIDHRI Higgins believes his side are facing “a different proposition” this time around ahead of tomorrow night’s meeting against Glenavon at The Showgrounds…
The Bannsiders welcome Michael O’Connor’s side to the Ballycastle Road for the second time this season after previously doing battle at the same venue back in November.
Whilst Coleraine were victorious that afternoon, Higgins remarked how there has been plenty of change at the Lurgan Blues as O’Connor has drafted in several new additions to his squad and they have picked up notable scalps along the way.
He said: “They’ve beaten the likes of Linfield and Glentoran.
“They also made life very, very difficult for Glentoran at the weekend. There was very little in that match and they have recruited well.
“They’ve signed good players and they’re now a different proposition to what they were earlier in the season.
“It’s an extremely dangerous game and one that we have to be fully, fully focused on.
“As I said, it’s a dangerous game and if we don’t approach it mentally and in the right manner then we can slip up.
“But we now have a group of players that are extremely professional and are ready to go.”
In squad news, the Bannsiders will be without Kodi Lyons-Foster, Lewis McGregor, Connor Murray, Jamie Glackin and Graham Kelly through injury.
Levi Ives also misses out with a minor setback, although Oliver Devlin’s season is over with a knee issue.
