Glenn’s a Keeper

COLERAINE FC can confirm that former player Glenn Millar has returned to the club to help out coaching the Academy’s goalkeepers…

Millar – who part of the Bannsiders’ squad that won the Irish Cup in 2003 – will hope to pass on his experience and expertise to all the goalkeepers involved in the Academy on Monday and Wednesday evenings.

Speaking about the exciting news, John Gregg, Head of Youth Development at the club, was pleased to see Millar return to the Ballycastle Road.

“On behalf of Coleraine Football Club, I’m delighted that Glenn has agreed to come on board and work with young goalkeepers at the Academy,” he said.

“He is a former Coleraine player who knows what the club is about and I believe his involvement can only help our under age goalkeepers.

“I know he is looking forward to getting into coaching and it is a great coup for us.”

Millar spoke to colerainefc.com to express his excitement about this new challenge.

“I am grateful for this new opportunity and I can’t wait to get started,” he added.

“I am looking forward to working with the coaching staff at Coleraine and helping to develop the goalkeepers further.

“The club has a reputation for bringing players through the Academy system and I look forward to furthering their development.”
