ORAN Kearney praised his players for not panicking after coming from behind to defeat Portadown at The Showgrounds…

The Stripes had fallen behind to Greg Moorhouse’s close range finish but recovered to lead 3-1 at the break through goals from Rodney Brown, Matthew Shevlin and Conor McKendry, with the three points being banked by Michael McCrudden’s finish just after the hour mark.

Kearney was full of credit for his side’s comeback and praised McKendry’s contribution as the winger had a hand in all three first-half goals.

The boss was equally delighted to give Aaron Jarvis his 100th appearance for the club, as well as handing a debut to Andy Scott following his move from Larne.

Kearney remarked that the majority of the squad for the North-West Senior Cup final will comprise of U20 players as they face Ballinamallard United in the final.
