‘Going behind kicked us on’ – OK

COLERAINE boss Oran Kearney knew that yesterday’s game against Warrenpoint Town was always going to be ‘tough’ as his side recovered from a goal down to collect all three points…

The Bannsiders fell behind as Kealan Dillon’s tremendous strike broke the deadlock at Milltown but the Stripes recovered to bag an important win via a double from Stephen O’Donnell.

The manager remarked that injuries and suspensions meant that his side was down to ‘the bare bones’ but that it provided an opportunity for Caiolan Brennan and others to impress.

After recent results and setbacks, Kearney was pleased to see his side not feel sorry for themselves when falling behind as they re-grouped to seal the victory.

Kearney highlighted how much Warrenpoint have improved in recent seasons and hopes that a few injured bodies will return in the coming weeks.

It is in-form Glentoran up next for Coleraine and Kearney noted the similarities between the two clubs this season as they have both improved as the campaign progressed.
