Good Wil

COLERAINE FC is pleased to confirm the arrival of Ronan Wilson on a two-year contract…

The 21-year-old joins the club after a spell with Cliftonville after previously representing Institute.

The midfielder – who can also operate at full-back – made a total of 21 appearances for the Reds last season and was part of the squad that lifted the County Antrim Shield.

Hailing Wilson’s versatility, boss Oran Kearney was delighted to avail of his services for the next two years.

“Ronan was on our radar a few years ago when he was at Institute,” he added.

“He went to Cliftonville but it just didn’t happen for him.

“The ages of 19, 20, 21 is a critical period for any young player’s career and it is important to get game time.

“He is a central midfielder by trade but he has a huge amount of versatility and it’s documented that we don’t have the biggest squad, so that added depth is crucial.

“His age, profile and energy levels means he will be a really good acquisition for us.”

The Club can confirm that Wilson will wear the number 12 shirt.
