RUAIDHRI Higgins hailed last night’s win against Linfield as ‘huge’ as the Bannsiders ran out 3-1 victors at The Showgrounds…

Coleraine secured all three points as Joel Cooper, Jamie McGonigle and Will Patching all netted after the break as the Stripes ended the year on a high.

Higgins remarked that there had been some ‘soul-searching’ after going into the contest on the back of two successive defeats but the players responded brilliantly to beat the reigning champions.

The gaffer labelled the three finishes as ‘excellent’ and how his squad now have a big 48 hours to recover for the clash against Larne.
