RUAIDHRI Higgins says he was delighted with his players’ application and professionalism in the 8-0 win against Dollingstown last night…

The Bannsiders reached the second round of the BetMcLean Cup as goals from Alex Watson (2), Jamie Glackin, Ronan Doherty, Declan McManus (2), Kodi Lyons-Foster and Tiernan Brolly sealed the win at Planters Park.

Higgins stated how the Stripes produced “high standards” in the victory and remarked how some of the goals were excellent team goals, aided by a fantastic playing surface at the County Armagh venue.

The contest provided more game time for teenage trio Watson, Brolly and Cead McGrath – much to Higgins’ satisfaction – as well as a return to registering a clean sheet.

Higgins also provided an update on Levi Ives and Ronan Doherty who both had to be substituted due to knocks.
