RUAIDHRI Higgins claimed the 3-0 success against Linfield was “a good afternoon” for a variety of different reasons…

The Bannsiders left Windsor Park with a deserved three points as Ben Wylie, Matthew Shevlin and Zane Okoro got on the scoresheet.

Higgins praised the players for their “fantastic” contributions in recent weeks and how the opener by Wylie was a touch of class.

Coleraine created a sea of chances throughout the 90 minutes but Higgins remarked how it was important that the Bannsiders arrived at Windsor Park with the “right mentality” to get the job done.

The game marked Connor Murray’s first appearance of the season after a sustained injury lay-off and Higgins credited the winger and the medical department for getting the Scotsman back on the park.
