RUAIDHRI Higgins conceded that the Bannsiders weren’t at their best – but was pleased to pick up all three points against Portadown…

After a scoreless first-half, which saw Ports stopper Aaron McCarey, the Bannsiders made their numerical advantage count through efforts from Matthew Shevlin and Joel Cooper.

Higgins said it was satisfying to win the game despite not hitting top gear and how important it was inject speed into their play after the interval.

He further added how the performance wasn’t easy on the eye but the squad were able to utilise their threat from set-pieces to find the goals.
