Signing

High Fyfe

COLERAINE FC is pleased to confirm the signing of Eamon Fyfe on a two-and-a-half year deal…

The striker becomes Oran Kearney’s first arrival of the January transfer window after impressing during a stint at Dundela.

Fyfe, who hails from Cargan, was also on the books of Queen’s University and All Saints Old Boys Ballymena, before joining Dundela where he is the club’s top goalscorer this season.

The 24-year-old is also a talented GAA player and was on the books of Cliftonville, Larne and Ballymena United as a youngster.

Fyfe is ineligible to feature in this year’s BetMcLean Cup after scoring in a 2-1 win against Crusaders earlier in the competition.

Speaking to colerainefc.com, boss Oran Kearney was pleased to land one of his long-term targets.

“Eamon has been on our radar for the last twelve months,” he said.

“We were always gauging when would be the right time to bring him in and we believe that it’s now.

“He has had a cracking spell at Dundela and is their top goalscorer so far this season, which is no mean feat at that level.

“There were four or five other clubs chasing his signature but we are pleased that he sees his future here and he has a lot of qualities and potential that we are excited about.”

“He is quick and powerful and played with Matthew Shevlin at the Milk Cup so I’m sure he will be a valuable addition to the squad.”

The Club can confirm that Fyfe will wear the number 13 shirt.
