COLERAINE once again took to the pitch against Bangor on Friday to the wonderful “Have You Ever Seen Coleraine”…

Commissioned by owner Henry Ross, the club has adopted the song as the walk-out tune for the players before kick off.
Local band Cellar Door has recorded the catchy number which is a favourite with the fans…a play on the Creedence Clearwater Revival classic “Have You Ever Seen the Rain”.
Cellar Door are four Coleraine musicians – Gary Anderson, Barry McNicholl, Brian Millican and Johnny Holmes.
Lead guitarist Brian previously played in a CCR tribute band and Johnny teaches drumming at the Causeway School of Music on Railway Road. Barry co-founded the band alongside Gary 11 years ago.
The band started out in 2014 and have performed at weddings, functions and many other events on the North Coast.
So what persuaded the guys to record the song?
“Back in September 2023 Coleraine FC asked us to perform at the club, welcoming fans to the Newry City game (3-1 win),” explained singer Gary Anderson.
“Ever since that day, I’ve always wanted to give something back to the club and the town we grew up in.
“So we thought it would be great to record the track and use the lyrics the fans sing and provide it for the club to use on match day.”
Gary comes from a well known Coleraine FC supporting family.
“I go to the occasional game when my family are home from Canada,” added Gary.
“But my cousin Gary Anderson goes to all the games. Robin Anderson would have been my Great Uncle.”
