Interview

“I am fiercely ambitious” – OK

COLERAINE TV caught up with Oran Kearney for an exclusive interview after the boss signed a new three-year deal…

The Bannsiders chief extended his stay on the Ballycastle Road until the end of the 2023/24 campaign and admits he was delighted to do so after getting off the field business completed in recent weeks.

Kearney revealed that the pitch and redevelopment plans has whetted his appetite to be a part of things moving forward and that preparations are underway for the 2021/22 season.

The Stripes have been runners-up three times under Kearney’s leadership and the Ballymoney man would love to be the bride rather than the bridesmaid but knows his troops have punched above their weight to compete with the full-time clubs.

Coleraine Chairman Colin McKendry labelled the new contract as one of the most important signings the club has made in recent years and acknowledged Kearney’s importance not only with the first-team but the entire youth structure.
