“I was overdue one” – Carson

JOSH Carson proved to be the match winner for the Bannsiders yesterday afternoon and he spoke to Coleraine TV after the success at the Loughview Leisure Arena…

The midfielder let fly with a spectacular effort on 82 minutes that went beyond the reach of Ross Glendinning and into the back of the net.

Carson admitted he was due to get off the mark for the campaign and that it was a tale of two halves in east Antrim as the Bannsiders had Gareth Deane to thank for an excellent stop just before the interval.

The former Ipswich ace remarked that grinding out a victory like that means just as much as winning comfortably and that it was an important three points for Coleraine as other clubs have struggled away to Carrick.

Carson looked ahead to the midweek clash against Crusaders as the Bannsiders go for a fourth successive win.
