RUAIDHRÍ Higgins praised his side’s performance as they put in a commanding display to take all three points at Seaview yesterday afternoon…

Goals from Joel Cooper (2), Matthew Shevlin and Declan McManus eased the Bannsiders to a 4-0 success.

Higgins was full of praise for his players and commented on all four goals – in particular the second which was from a training ground routine.

The Stripes were without Kodi Lyons-Foster and Charles Dunne who had started the season at centre-back, with Higgins heaping praise on Levi Ives and Cameron Stewart for their performances in the heart of the back four.

Higgins also mentioned giving Premiership debuts to Rowan McDonald, Zane Okoro and Oliver Devlin, as well as thanking the fans who came out in their droves to north Belfast.
