The stopper was in fine form to deny Cliftonville an equaliser following saves from Rory Donnelly, Joe Gormley and Garry Breen as Coleraine remained five points clear in the Danske Bank Premiership.

The 22-year-old was quick to heap praise on his team-mates for their defensive performance and believes the Bannsiders deserved their victory in North Belfast.

Johns – who signed a contract extension to remain at the club until June 2020 – is expecting a tough encounter against Glentoran next weekend at The Showgrounds.
