Interview

Jordan’s lasting memory of Windsor win

JORDAN Allan remains something of a cult hero amongst Coleraine fans…

He banged in nine goals during that time, including a memorable late double to earn a draw against Ballymena United.

An interview with Jordan recalling that unforgettable afternoon can be viewed on Coleraine TV HERE.

But it’s his match winner in January 2017 at Windsor Park which remains his favourite moment from his time in the Stripes.

“Highlight of my career,” stated Jordan.

“There’s a photo of the goal and the shirt I wore that night. They are framed and proudly hang in my grandad’s house.”

Allan began his career with Dundee United.

“I broke my leg and was trying to get games for fitness.

“The club said Kenny Shiels was looking to take players to Derry City and the move suited all parties.

“Then with Kenny’s connection to Oran I got my move to Coleraine.”

Fans may be surprised to know that the striker has changed roles…he’s now a highly regarded left back.

“When I left Coleraine I returned to Scotland,” he continued.

“I joined Elgin City and because they had a few injuries I stepped in.

“I had played there when I was younger and I’ve played that position ever since.”

From the Highlands, Jordan moved to Stirling Albion and he now plys his trade with Ayrshire juniors Darvel FC.

Jordan combines the part time game with his successful business…he now owns two companies in the cleaning and contracts sector, JSA Contracts and OHM Maintenance.

Still only 26, he remains ambitious, as does his current club.

“We played in the West of Scotland League, Premier Division.

“The club has a five year project to progress right through the leagues.

“It is an exciting time and I’m loving my football now.

“I enjoyed my time at Coleraine and have a lot of memories that will always stay with me.”
