LYNDON Kane says there’s a strong determination in the Coleraine changing room to make use of home comforts as the Bannsiders welcome Dungannon Swifts to The Showgrounds this evening…

Coleraine picked up a point last weekend on the road as they played out a goalless draw at Cliftonville.

Ruaidhri Higgins’ men make a return to the Ballycastle Road tonight and will hope to make it two wins from two on home soil after Joel Cooper’s late heroics against Larne last time out.

However, Kane knows the threats possessed by the Swifts, who won the Irish Cup back in May.

“We’re just expecting very much the same as last year,” the skipper said.

“They’ve played competitive football during pre-season in Europe, so we know what we’re going to get.

“Obviously, we’re delighted to be going back home.

“We want to make The Showgrounds a fortress and let’s hope we can do that.”

Kane has been partnered with summer signing Lewis McGregor on the right-hand side and he opened up on the developing relationship between the pair.

He stated: “It’s been very good…I wouldn’t like to be marking Lewis.

“Obviously, he’s rapid and he’s still young. He’s just getting games behind him now.

“He comes with good experience after playing in the Scottish Championship, and he’s a quality player.

“We see it every day in training and hopefully now he can start adding goals and assists to his game.”
