LYNDON Kane spoke exclusively to Coleraine TV after agreeing terms on a new contract at The Showgrounds…
The full-back is set to extend his stay with his boyhood club after putting pen to paper on a deal until the end of the 2027/28 campaign.
Kane revealed that negotiations over his new contract didn’t take very long and that the club has become a big part of his and his family’s life.
He further revealed that the current group of players is the best he’s worked with and spoke about his enjoyment at coming into training every day.
Kane started his Coleraine career as a part-time player, but things have certainly changed for both parties, with the 29-year-old stating that the players now have everything they need to succeed, both in terms of infrastructure and in other areas.
When asked if a league title is on the radar, Kane believes that would be the “pinnacle” of his career if he can be part of the group that claims the club’s second-ever Gibson Cup triumph.
He also paid tribute to the fanbase, which he believes has really “connected” with the first-team squad, especially in recent months, and highlighted how important a role they can play for the club moving forward.
