The Bannsiders made it three successive wins in the Danske Bank Premiership as second-half goals from Ben Doherty, Stewart Nixon and Eoin Bradley was the difference at The Showgrounds.

Kearney remarked that the first-half performance was below par but that his squad used the experiences from the previous 18 months to secure the win against Niall Currie’s men.

The boss was also pleased with back-to-back clean sheets but spoke of his disappointment that Ben Doherty faces a spell on the sidelines with a broken collarbone.

After speaking about Aaron Canning’s return to the matchday panel, Kearney also looks ahead to next weekend’s derby clash away to Ballymena United.
