Kearney provides injury update

COLERAINE boss Oran Kearney gives the official website an update regarding injuries sustained to Brad Lyons and Eoin Bradley…

The manager has confirmed that midfielder Brad Lyons underwent an operation today to repair fractured cheekbones suffered in last weekend’s win over Linfield.

“Brad will be out for at least six to eight weeks, if not more,” Kearney said.

“We won’t be rushing him back and we will make sure he is 100% fit and ready before he returns.

“It helps that he can train away from the team in a couple of weeks, so when we get the go ahead, he will be fit and raring to go.”

There was more disappointing news for striker Eoin Bradley who has also been ruled out for six to eight weeks with a knee ligament injury.

“We got Skinner’s scan results back today and he has suffered a knee ligament injury,” Kearney added.

“You are talking six to eight weeks, but we all know that Eoin is a quick healer.

“It is disappointing to lose both players as they are important to the team.

“It’s a bit of a double whammy.”
