Ladies won’t underestimate Crewe challenge

COLERAINE Ladies go in search for a return to winning ways as they face Crewe United Ladies this evening (KO 8pm)…

The Bannsiders make the trip to Glenavy and despite the hosts not picking up a point to date, boss Alison Nicholl knows that they will be eager to put that right this evening.

“Crewe haven’t picked up any points yet and are bottom of the table,” she said.

“However, we won’t underestimate about how tough a match it is going to be as they will be looking to get their first points on the board.

“We had a very light training session and unfortunately our ‘keeper Cerys Sharkey is struggling with an ankle injury, so we will have to see if she will be fit.

“We will also have Kitty Greer absent as she is in England and Olivia Doherty is playing Gaelic but hopefully we will be ready to go.”

Coleraine will be hoping to take the positives from last week’s defeat to Foyle Belles into the contest, with Nicholl warning her players not to be complacent.

“It was a pleasing performance against Foyle Belles last time out despite losing 3-2 as they are right up there at the top of the table.

“We will be looking to go there and get three more points on the board and we have to be wary of complacency slipping in.

“It will be a tough match but one that we are looking forward too.
